GirlsCup - 3 days of girls' football with around 400 participants
The GirlsCup Bremen is a football tournament for girls from E- to B-youth from Friday to Sunday on a weekend shortly before the summer holidays and has been held since 2011. On Fridays, the participants arrive with their teams. The girls set up their own team camp on the grounds. The guest teams organise their own evening meal or book dinner with barbecue, drinks and salads from the organising team. The sports facilities, the Werdersee and the Stadtwerder provide the first adventure evening.
On Saturday morning there will be breakfast for all participants in the marquee. The tournament starts around 10.00 a.m. At noon, the volunteer fire brigade of Neustadt comes with a "goulash canon" and feeds our tournament with spaghetti bolognese and pesto. The first day of the tournament then ends with a dinner, which the teams organise independently. For example, they can order food from our club restaurant or organise a barbecue themselves.
The second day of the tournament starts with breakfast in the marquee. Until noon, the girls "fight" for the coveted GirlsCup cups and medals. After the award ceremony and the winners' photos in front of the GirlsCup logo, the souvenir T-shirts can be quickly bought and a farewell sausage eaten before the tents are cleared and the teams gradually start their journey home.
